The story of Four Paws Companions™ LLC, began with our sweet beagle Shyloh, who was found abandoned on the side of the freeway, discarded in a box with a litter of dead puppies. Once nursed back to health we found this courageous dog to be extremely smart, affectionate; full of energy and fun. Although, I’d had other dogs, Shyloh gave me a clarity of purpose I’d never experienced, and a great part of my life was dedicated to nurturing and loving her. She gave all that back to me, and more. Every morning she would wiggle in excitement about the new day, and it made me catch her enthusiasm. When I was diagnosed with cancer she helped me get through it; when she suffered from the same disease, I did the same for her.
Shyloh filled my days with unquestioning love and my nights with warm companionship that gave me a serenity I can’t explain. She made me want to adopt only those dogs who need an extra helping hand – the less perfect, temperamental dogs considered unadoptable. Sadly, I lost her dearest gift on December 15, 2014, holding her most precious paw as she drifted off to her last sleep. The time I spent with her was far too short, but I cherish every moment.
The loss of my beloved constant companion and the memory of how we found her inspired me to start Four Paws Companions™ LLC. I wanted to make sure that pet owners had access to a pet care service that shared their love and dedication to their pets. We have adopted Shyloh’s (or “SheShe” as we called her) approach to human-pet relationships – except for chewing on stuffed animals – and are eager to show you how completely dedicated we are to your pet’s safety and happiness. Shyloh has been my model of boundless unconditional love, companionship and support. Her legacy is the essence of who we are and defines our approach to pet care. “We strive for perfection, are dedicated to integrity; and are fiercely loyal to our clients and their sweet pets.” We lovingly provide pet care, companionship and support because “SheShe” wouldn’t have it any other way. We honor her memory by aspiring to make a positive difference in your pet’s lives.
“We Love Your Pets!” isn’t just our motto; it is who we are.
