Four Paws Companions™ LLC policies as expressed.
Rates: Four Paws Companions™ LLC rates for subsequent services are subject to change. Client will be notified of any price changes prior to scheduled visit by phone, mail, or e-mail as appropriate.
Pet care services: Client authorizes Four Paws Companions™ LLC to perform pet care services as outlined in client profile, pet profile, dog walking profile and veterinary release, which shall become part of this agreement. Prior to any future pet care services client agrees to notify Four Paws Companions™ LLC of any changes to the information on these forms.
Emergency care: in the event that pet(s) being cared for require immediate medical attention, Four Paws Companions™ LLC will attempt to contact the client prior to obtaining emergency care. However, client agrees that the pet sitter has the authority to act in the pet’s best interest even if this means seeking medical attention prior to notifying client. Client agrees to reimburse Four Paws Companions™ LLC for any additional fees and/or expenses incurred while tending to emergency or veterinary care.
Inclement weather/natural disaster/national emergency: Four Paws Companions™ LLC is entrusted to use best judgment in caring for pet(s) and home. Client recognizes that in the event of inclement weather, natural disaster, or national emergency Four Paws Companions™ LLC reserves the right to alter services outlined in this agreement.
Personal emergency: in the event of personal emergency or illness of pet sitter, client authorizes Four Paws Companions™ LLC to arrange for another qualified person to fulfill agreed upon responsibilities as set forth on this agreement. Client will be notified in such case.
Key policy: Four Paws Companions™ LLC does not charge for picking up house keys at the first consultation; however the client agrees to pay $20 for each key pick-up thereafter. Client may agree to allow Four Paws Companions™ LLC to keep their keys on file in a secure location for future services. At the conclusion of services, client agrees to pay $20 for any key returns. We will NOT pick-up or leave keys “under the mat”, and we will NOT lock the keys in the house on the last day.
Locksmith: client gives Four Paws Companions™ LLC the authority to use the services of a locksmith in the event of malfunction of the lock, keys, or automatic door opener. Client also agrees to reimburse Four Paws Companions™ LLC within 10 days of receipt for all costs incurred, and to hold Four Paws Companions™ LLC harmless for consequences related to the activities of the locksmith.
Payment: client agrees to make payment in full prior to services rendered. If payment is not received prior to services rendered or within 30 days of due date, client agrees to pay a late fee of 20% of balance due. Client agrees to pay a $35 service charge plus all fees incurred for any returned check.
Extra services: client will provide all food and supplies. Four Paws Companions™ LLC reserves the right to purchase additional food and/or supplies for pet(s) if needed. Client agrees to reimburse Four Paws Companions™ LLC for said additional food and/or supplies in full. Client will also pay any charges for unplanned services in full. Receipts and invoice or statement will be provided by Four Paws Companions™ LLC.
Cancellations: client agrees to pay 100% of balance due for cancellations made 24 hours or less from scheduled service date. During holiday periods, client agrees to pay 100% of balance due for cancellations made 7 days or less from scheduled service date. We greatly appreciate your advanced notice of cancellation as many times we have to refuse clients due to unavailable time.
Termination of services: client or Four Paws Companions™ LLC reserves the right to terminate pet sitting services with a minimum of 7 days notice.
Liability: the utmost care will be given in watching both your pet(s) and home. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the client expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against Four Paws Companions™ LLC, and its staff or volunteers, except those arising from negligence of the pet sitter. Client agrees to notify Four Paws Companions™ LLC of any concerns within 24 hours.
Emergency contact: client agrees to provide Four Paws Companions™ LLC with contact information where he/she can be reached while away. Client will also provide the names and phone numbers of someone who is authorized to handle any major problems that may arise. If client or designated contact person cannot be reached in a timely manner, client agrees to accept any decision Four Paws Companions™ LLC makes in regards to pet care or client’s property.
Visitors: if anyone will be entering client’s home while it is under our care, client agrees to notify Four Paws Companions™ LLC in advance. Four Paws Companions™ LLC will not enter an occupied home if we have not been previously made aware of visitors. Similarly, unless we receive instructions from client, we will not grant access to the home to any visitors. Four Paws Companions™ LLC will not be held responsible or liable for any damages incurred to client’s home or pet(s) by any visitors. It is understood that anyone with access to the home will be notified of Four Paws Companions™ LLC presence. The police will be called, without exception, on all intruders or suspicious acts.
Outdoor access: Four Paws Companions™ LLC and its staff or volunteers will not be held liable for the disappearance, injury, well-being, death, fine(s) or actions of any pet(s) with unsupervised access to the outdoors.
Behavior: Four Paws Companions™ LLC and its staff or volunteers will not be held responsible for any mishaps, claims, and/or expenses attributed to the destructive or unpredictable behavior of pet(s) that cause damage to any home or property.
Aggressive pets: if a pet has a history of biting or other aggressive behavior, Four Paws Companions™ LLC reserves the right to refuse or cancel service. The owner will be liable for the pet sitter’s medical expenses and/or damages that are the result of an animal bite or injury due to pet’s behavior.
Vaccinations: client agrees to provide Four Paws Companions™ LLC with proof of current vaccinations for all pets. Should pet sitter be bitten or otherwise exposed to any disease or ailment received from client animal(s), client agrees to pay all costs and damages incurred. Client is responsible for attorney’s costs for any legal action necessary for enforcement of this agreement.
